All the World is a Stage

Shakespeare said: All the world is a stage and we
are merely players.

As players on the world's stage, just how are we
making a difference in positive direction? Are we
wallowing in our negativity and not finding our way to the solution? Or are we evaluating and finding out that we can make a difference individually as well as collectively when we put our mind to change?

A positive spiritual approach to our lives does not mean that we are a doormat for every negative
thought that comes by. It means that we can find
our own spiritual lesson from every opportunity,
every experience and handle ourselves in a
balanced, peaceful manner. Even when the world is
going crazy in negativity, we can find the peace in the centre of our being. It is there! We may have to struggle to maintain it, but it is there for us to call upon in times of strife.

If we decide to wallow in our pain and play a blame game that accuses others of our own shortcomings, we have not raised our consciousness to the level of spiritual growth. We have an opportunity in all situations to examine ourselves in the play on the world's stage. We can say we didn't get our cue and the fault lies elsewhere. Or, we can accept our own responsibility (without blame to self or others) and thereby find solutions that aid everyone in the play.

We have a centre of peace that our spirituality is
enhancing with every experience and lesson life
throws our way. Maintaining that peace in all the
experiences of life is a real measure of
spirituality. Will we be available in all
situations? Not likely! We are a work in progress
and the more we can find that centre, the more we
can grow in all aspects.

Raising our consciousness shines a light for others to find it too. We can be the light that goes into the darkness of negativity. We can shine for all to see. Or we can hide our own growth under a bushel of our own self-pity and never move forward.

Choosing our direction wisely is a measure of our personal growth in spirituality.
