Challenges come our way because there is a lesson to be learnt in them. Have you ever had a certain challenge (some call them problems) that has kept popping up in life? We all do, and some more than others. If we never learn the lesson in it then before long the same or similar problem will manifest in an area or your life.

These challenges are disguised in all manner of ways such as people we interact with, situations we encounter or crises and dramatic events that keep popping up. If you think about it I'm sure you have several of these that kept reappearing in your life. Unless you finally deal with it and learn the lesson you have to, then these things will keep raising their ugly head.

First, become aware of these events. Next time you catch yourself saying, "Why does this always happen to me?", then stop and think about what you just said. You can either choose to accept that there is something to learn here and respond to this, or you can choose to get caught up in the drama and react to it. Some people are just addicted to getting caught up in the drama, and I think we have all been guilty of that at some time.

So now we are aware of this challenge the next thing to do is to face it. Easier said than done as this particular thing may have been happening to you your whole life and each time it happens the harder it is to deal with. This is when we have to realize the implications of not conquering our challenge. It goes back to linking pleasure and pain to life's events and the meaning we attach to these events.

By not choosing to learn the lesson being offered we keep ourselves in a cycle that will reappear once again and more often than not the drama's will be bigger and better (worse) than before. It will continue to do so until it is finally so big that you will reach crisis point and will have no choice but to learn your lesson.

So why wait till that point? Why wait till it gets so big that it will seem like the world is crashing down around you and you find yourself sinking in it! A little over the top maybe but you get my point right?

What I found was that when you finally face these challenges, and learn the lesson being offered, they just disappear and are likely to never to be seen again. So the short term pain of facing them equates to long term pleasure, and hiding from them will give you short term pleasure which ultimately gives you long term pain.

You know I'm right and I don't say that to make myself look good, rather so that if you were not aware of this technique then you know have a simple strategy to improve yourself with that will really change your day to day life.
