Jesus Bore Our illness and Pain by Gloria Copeland

'That it could be satisfied which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, exclaiming, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses'. When Jesus bore away our sins, He also bore away our diseases. The Cross announced a complete treatment for the ills of mankind.
The Church of Jesus Christ has been made just as free from illness as it's been made free from sin. A Christian may continue to sin after he's been born again, but he does not have to. Sin shall no longer lord it over him unless he allows it ( Romans 6:14 ). A Christian may remain sick after he's been born again, but he does not have to. He's been redeemed from illness. The price has been paid for his healing. Most followers have only known part of their redemption. Their faith will operate to the degree of their understanding of God's Word. As you accept the proven fact that as certainly as Jesus bore your sins, He also bore away your disease, weakness and discomfort, your days of illness will be over.
The light of the word of god will destroy devil's grip in your life in the area of physical suffering. The truth makes you free from his dominion when you realize that your healing has already been acquired by the sacrifice of Jesus. Isaiah 53:4-5 claims,'Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows : yet we probably did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our misdemeanours, he was bruised for our iniquities : the censure of our peace was upon him ; and with his stripes we are healed.'
It asserts,'Surely he hath borne our griefs.' Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible one says choli, translated'griefs,' means'sickness, weakness and pain.' surely He has borne your illness, weakness and pain! Permit yourself to receive the magnitude of what God is talking with you.
Jesus was smitten of God with sin and illness in order for you to go free. Verse 6 tells us,'The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.' Verse ten [*CO]'Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him ; he hath put him to grief.' ( According to Dr. It could not be God's will for you to be sick with the illness that Jesus suffered for you.
Because God so adored the world, He engineered the substitution of His only begotten son to redeem man from the curse of Satan.
