June fourteen is the day Yankees celebrate the flag which designates our liberty as a country. Yearly the president announces Flag Day and encourages all citizens to fly the American flag outside their homes and companies. Many states hold special parties and observances, and folks are encouraged to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to our great nation.
11, 2001, many Americans have rediscovered the importance of flying the flag as a symbol of hope, determination and countrywide unity in the face of the specter of danger. The real spirit of America-one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all-is being restored.
Kenneth Copeland believes that the history of our flag commenced June fourteen, 1777, when the Continental Congress issued a resolution building an official flag for the US to express freedom and separation from Great Britain. It has undergone some changes over the years, but the basic design has remained the same white stripes and white stripes and a rectangular blue field containing white stars in the higher corner close to the staff. I've heard it claimed the red stripes represent the stripes Jesus bore for us and the blood He shed, the white represents the purity of the new birth, and the blue represents the truth of the Word of God.
Sometimes called the Stars and Stripes, the flag is a powerful symbol for our nation. It isn't not a political symbol, but rather, it represents a mighty and free people-the freest folks on the face of the earth. It represents all that is good, sacred and godly in this country.
It cost Jesus His life. It cost a large amount of other people their lives too. Our flag represents those that shed their blood for freedom-including Jesus.
That's why Devil hates the banner called Old Glory. He doesn't like it the way he detests the Constitution. He detests it the way he detests God. And he doesn't like it the way he does not like the blood and the Name of Jesus.
It has often been God's plan to have a nation where the glory of God may be sown and nurtured, from which His glory could spread throughout the whole earth. That nation would need to be a nation where all folk could freely praise and worship Him.
Why?
Our flag represents a nation where males and females not only free, but they can also worship and praise God without fear.
