Although Joyce’s sense was unique to herself yet stretches beyond normal definitions. It was overwhelmed by her exaggerated sensibility. Joyce’s parents were in the dilemma. They were concerned about her personality development. Her egoistic nature and pragmatic line of thinking have overshadowed her achievements. She did not negotiate to alter her reasoning whenever it demands. She became a prisoner of stagnant intelligence. She failed to understand the importance of a paradigm shift. Her classmates were very upset with her immoderate sensibility. Consequently, they felt that relation among them gradually becoming strained.
It was a sheer coincidence that Robert, who was a teacher in community school, witnessed her unusual behavior. He realized that confronting her head on will be a total disaster. He approached in a matured yet friendly manner. In his class, he asked questioned regarding values and intentionally left the topic vague .It was her prompt reaction as she jumped on her feet and demanded clarification of “values”. He could see irritation and dissatisfaction on her face.
Robert was clever enough to seize that moment and exploited her irresistible approach .He asked her to explain to the class the concept and meaning of “Values”. She was exalted and proudly faced the class .She started explaining the meaning and concept of values with respect to every single situation. Her explanation based on reasons and events substantiating every bit with authority and confidence. While talking, her tone been soft and her approach very docile. In the end, all students gave her standing ovation and thanked her.
Robert approached her and she thanked him for giving an opportunity to express her views. Robert explained to her that the difference in her pragmatic approach and paradigm shift. At once she realized her past mistakes .The good sense prevailed and her sensibility enveloped her stubborn personality .She becomes totally a different person altogether.
