What to Change and Change to What

There shall be a moment throughout the paces of your life, you ponder change, you experience a particular change, and you desire a change. I am not surprise because with respect to change and the life of all creations of the God, uniquely the only constant is change. I shall also mention Heraclitus who said "change alone is unchanging". He adds, "there is nothing permanent except change".

Then you seek information on change, and discovered more than a 100 million packages of information in the form of articles, talks, seminars, blogs, self-help techniques, and books. Have you ever noticed, some of these experts amongst the searchers and researchers who say that, "change your mind and you change your life". Is this statement true or false?

To answer that question, let us view the statement and see whether it is applicable to our daily living. Please observe that there are three parts of the statement; 1) "change your mind"; 2) "and", 3) "you change your life".

The word "and" in the middle denotes, "action - consequence", or "doing - result", or "cause - effect". To elaborate, "this is your action, then you get that consequence" or "when you change this, then that is being change as a consequence". Also, "when this is what you are doing, then as a result that shall happen", or "doing this change, as a result that shall change". In addition, "cause this to happen, then the effect is, that shall happen", or "cause this to change, then the effect is that shall change".

A part of the phrase is, "change your mind". Think very carefully, can you change your mind? The answer is no! The fact remains that no individual in this world can change his or her mind. Each of us is given but one mind. This mind is made up of nothing less than six spaces, The term spaces are also known as faculties, dimensions, places, workshops, or laboratories. The six spaces include, 1) the conscious mind, 2) the subconscious mind, 3) the unconscious mind, 4) the supermind, 5) the mastermind, and 6) the universal mind.

Please note that the number of spaces of your single mind is not limited to six only. Greater than this number, are the frontiers of an individual mind yet to be uncovered and discovered. Each mind has been fixed by the God. So much so, for example, an individual cannot change his or her subconscious mind, with the universal mind, nor can he or she change his or her unconscious mind with his or her mastermind. It is up to us to take advantage of each component of our total mind, in accordance to each mind that offers a variety of functions, operations, and utilities.

But, you may have said, or heard others who say, "I change my mind". If that is so, then allow me to ask, "You change your mind with what?" Can anyone answer me by saying, "Oh now I prefer my lips" or "I already change my mind, now I use my teeth", "Or I change my mind with my faith". These responses do not seem to make sense, not appropriate, and are not correct, because the fact is, no one can change his or her mind.

The other part of the phrase is, "you change your life". Actually life is given to each of us by the God. The gift is complete, full, wholesome, intact, and total. So, why do you want to change your life? What for? In addition, for what? Each and everyone of us are entitle, and it is our right to appreciate and enjoy this life to the fullest. Changes already occurring naturally, in terms of our growth and exposure in this life. So, no individual has the need to change his or her life.

This life proceeds and each of us is alive and continuously living on this earth, until that inevitable moment to come. This earth offers abundance for all. Therefore I may not comprehend what greed some individual amongst us who have allowed it to dominate their life, so as to set borders and boundaries upon the earth. I have proof, since the first man who is our great ancestor, Adam, and surely till the last individual living on this planet, the whole world and the entire universe belong to each and every one of us; the custodian.

Presently, yes...there are those who are giving advice, and there are those who are accepting advice, "change your mind, and you change your life". Thomas Crum said, "being willing to change allows you to move from a point of view to a viewing point - higher, more expansive place, from which you can see both sides". So, let me share with you a view so that you shall review your total view and your total life shall you preview. So this is it, "what to change, and change to what?".

In addition, please consider the necessity to change what you want to change. Lucias C. Falkland suggested that, "when it is not necessary to change, it is necessary not to change. Also, please be wise and be reminded by the saying of Reinhold Niebuhr, "God grants me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference".

What actually can you change, if you will, knowing very well that you cannot change your mind? Well actually there are numerous should you prefer to change these. Including, change your thought, visual, image, view, way, clarity, direction, input, attitude, belief, expectation, focus, anticipation, and the content within your mind. For example, you may say, "I previously thought I can change my mind, now I know that it is a useless effort, then I choose to change the clarity of the visual in my mind". Or "How can I change my mind, I can only change the contents in my mind and enjoy the fulfillment I desire in this life".

Change to what, or what is the result that you so desire, since this is the only life the God gives you. Should you prefer, the change to what, includes changes in the level, the focus, the emphasis, the preference, the condition, the situation, the area, the aspect, the quality, the definition, the meaning, the intensity, the magnitude, the value, and the virtue of your life.

In relations to individuals sharing this world, there are 5 facts for us to understand. The facts are as follows:

Fact # 1
I do not have the power to change you, therefore I cannot change you.

Fact # 2
You do not have the power to change me, therefore you cannot change me.

Fact # 3
I have the power to change, therefore I can change every aspects of me.

Fact # 4
You have the power to change, therefore you can change every aspects of you.

Fact # 5
Let us change now. You change an aspect of you, and I change an aspect of me. These changes shall we pursue continuously for as long as we live.

Next, is there a need for each of us to be involved in change? Anais Nin once said, "there came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom". Why should each of us change? The reason to change is by understanding what Dorothy Serrity said, "we need to change so we can remain the same". Yes..."why should you be somebody else, or anything you want to be, just be yourself". If we must change, how can each of us change? Jimmy Dean said, "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination". So, now the time has come for each of us to accept the fact that change is eternal, perpetual, everlasting. Our endeavor is what to change and change to what
