Why Buy motorcycle leather online? The simple answer is to save large amounts of money and get high quality products.

Before writing this article I visited a couple of motorcycle clothing stores and checked prices. It's clear that in many cases you can save up to 300 or even 400 percent on leather products.

I might add it's possible to find online stores where you can pay more.

One main reason that you can save is that online stores have very little overhead.
The local brick and mortar stores may be paying $2000.00 to $4000.00 just In rent.

Believe me some people choose the highest price article and believe that automatically assures them the best products. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Some sites operate with a low overhead and rely on volume sales to making a small profit on each article. Others reason that it requires less work and fewer employees to sell with a much higher markup.

I think it's clear that you want a business that is selling high quality merchandise with a low markup.

I'll give 10 tips designed to help you make an informed buying decision.

1. Remember while style is important it's the protection the leather gives you that is most important.
2. You probably want top grain or naked leather. For medium priced articles choose top grain. If you want the ultimate in leather choose naked leather. The hides are hand picked for the highest quality.
3. Make sure your online store has a sizing chart. You usasally by a size larger when buying leather. This will be spelled out on the sizing page.
4. Choose an online store that has one-piece leather jackets and chaps these are the high quality item that you want. Some sell thinner leather that is glued together to make the final thickness. These are cheaper inferior items.
5. Don't look for the highest prices and assume your getting the highest quality.
6. Motorcycle wear can be leather or a man made product. Always choose leather for cool weather riding. Cordua: a Nylon product may be all right for warmer weather.
7. Compare several online stores and choose on with medium prices and high quality products.
8. Choose leatherwear that is 1mm or more thick Cow or Buffalo hide. This will assure you are getting a high quality product in most cases.
9.Remember Leatherwear made in the USA is going to be very expensive. Many of the best buys are designed in the US and made in Pakistan China or elsewhere.
10. If you have any questions email or call to get answers before you buy. If they are a reputable company they will be happy to help you.

One thing I haven't mentioned is safety. Wearing clothes with reflected stripes could save your life and that's the most important thing of all. I sincerely hope these tips help. May god be with you?
