Film Trailer of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an American fantasy drama film released in 2008, with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett as the leading actors. The film is superbly directed by David Fincher, who has earlier directed hits like Zodiac, Fight Club to his credit. The film received thirteen Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Brad  Pitt who himself is a fantastic actor with his roles in other movies like Ocean Twelve, Legends of the Fall,Snatch,Babel to name the few.

The movie trailer shows the set in Batlimore, not Orleans the baby is born speaking like an adult; has a long white beard; is born in a hospital, not at home; and is 70 years old, not 80; is not deserted by his father at a home for the elderly, but is cared for by Mr. Button and encouraged to go to college. The weirdest idea of the movie is that it shows the man ageing in reverse, Brad Pitt at the age of 71 is shown as youthful as of 21 years of age. The movie trailer shows a flashback where Cate Blanchett shown lying on her deathbed in Orleans hospital with her 37 years daughter Caroline by her side. Daisy tells Caroline the story of a blind clockmaker named Gateau who assigned to make a clock to be installed in the New Orleans train station. Unfortunately after getting the news of his son’s death WWI,he devotedly continues with the clock commissioning work, but purposely designed it to run backward, in the hope that it would bring back those who died in the war.

This movie trailer shows that people are celebrating the end of WWI in New Orleans in the year 1918; a baby boy is born with physical appearance of an 85 year old man. Mother dies after birth and the Father (Button) abandons the child on the steps of the hospital, only to be looked after by the staffs, who are a childless couple, to raise the kid and they call him Benjamin. Over the years Benjamin begins to grow younger biologically. In 1930, while still appearing to be 73, Benjamin meets a young 6-year-old girl named Daisy (Elle Fanning).The children play together and listen to Daisy's grandmother read from a storybook. Benjamin goes to work for a tattoo artist on the docks with Captain Mike, in the free time Captain Mike would take Benjamin to bars and strip clubs. Benjamin meets Thomas Button for the very first time but does not reveal he is the father of his. . In 1936, after making friends with a man who got struck by lightning Benjamin leaves New Orleans with the tugboat crew for a long-term work engagement.
