Mudrank produced by Bhagwan Sausar has been written and directed by Shakir Shaikh who has also written the lyrics. The film has music by ever green veteran, director Bappi Lahiri, which has some numbers, with Usha Uthup, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal and Naushad Ali who is the creative director of the film. The film has been entirely shot with a 10-day shooting schedule on Pune locales and another 15-days shooting were held in Panvel. Deepak Shaikh, Arjun Shrivastava, Mohan Joshi, Ali Khan, Shiva and Shahbaaz Khan are playing key roles in this film.
With Rakhi Sawant...... item girl Milind Gunaji and Nirmal Pandey in important roles too.

Aditya Cinema's Mudrank is produced by Bhagwan Saunga, and directed by Shakir Sheikh while music rendered by Bappi Lahiri. Rakhi Sawant, the hot item girl of Bollywood has done an item number for the film. The movie is based on different scams which took place mainly revolving around the Telgi scam. It relates the people involved in it earned money through unlawful means from the poor persons, and spent it on their entertainment by visiting bar girls. Rakhi Sawant feels proud to be a part of the movie by doing this item song. This item song has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan

The film based on the life of Abdul Karim Telgi would hit theatres soon. The makers insist it have "only similarities" and is not entirely the replicate of life of the prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp case.
"Mudrank, The Stamp' is not based on the life of Telgi. Like 'Guru' everyone knows on whom the film is made, still it is not a bio-pic. The scenes may be having similarities with the incidents occurred in Telgi's real life, but they don't travel farther than that, mention the makers.
Theatre artiste Kailash Manav dons the character of Abdul Rahim Velgi, a role that resemble Telgi. In the reel life, the lead character (Velgi) is a banana vendor, who becomes a rich man through wheeling and dealing with politicians and bureaucrats with whose help he masterminds the fake stamp paper business.
"The first shot shows Velgi in police custody and the last one him in judicial custody, sitting gloomy-faced. Our film is not judgmental and does not have any political angle. However, it has a message and that is, you reap what you sow," Mr Ally, an ad-film maker, said. The film is produced by businessman Bhagwan Saungar and directed by Shakir Sheikh. Besides Manav as Velgi, other actors in the film are Milind Gunaji, Shabaaz Khan, Raza Murad, Anjaan Srivastav, Nirmal Pande, Sambhavana Seth, Amita Nangia (playing Velgi's wife) among others.
Telgi's fascination for dance bars has allowed the film-makers to fill the movie with a few item numbers done by Rakhi Sawant and Sambhavana Seth.
