Los Angeles – A Spellbinding City!

Los Angeles is one of the most appealing cities to move into. Flourishing businesses, entertainment, nightlife are just a few examples of why many people decide every year to make Los Angeles their new home city. With a population of nearly 4 million people, L.A. –as it’s often called – occupies the second position in US most populated cities. Considering the whole metropolitan area, Los Angeles reaches almost 13 million inhabitants. After moving to Los Angeles, a person becomes an Angeleno, that being the term to identify an L.A. resident.

The internal activities of Angeles are not limited to entertainment and fashion; this city is an important business center, home to many international companies’ headquarters. Education and research receive special attention in L.A., the whole world benefiting from their excellent results.

A person cannot think of Los Angeles without automatically relating it to Hollywood. An American symbol, since the whole movie industry concentrates here, Hollywood attracts not only tourists and celebrities, but new residents as well.

L.A. has a very diverse population, without a single ethnical majority. Many languages are spoken, but most of the residents speak English.  Although once it was entirely populated by European descendents, Asian and Hispanics have built large communities in the mean time.

The best thing about L.A. is its excellent climate. With a maximum of 30 days of rainy days in an entire year, practically it’s summer all the time in Los Angeles. You won’t have to worry about cold weather clothing, as you won’t need any. This warm weather gives opportunity to enjoy a huge variety of recreational sports, including water sports, as beaches are vast and neat???Non-beach attractions include the Walk of Fame, the Universal Studios, and the enormous Griffith Park, one of the largest urban parks in the world.

Despite its negative fame regarding pollution and smog, L.A. is now part of the cities with less environmental problems, as they introduced several programs to improve the air’s quality decades ago. Smog levels are continuously ameliorating due to numerous hybrid cars used in L.A. instead of normal, polluting vehicles. Los Angeles has maybe the biggest number of ecological cars per capita, which reveals the resident’s interest to live in a clean and healthy atmosphere.

Future residents may have concerns about the many earthquakes which are known to be in L.A. during the year, but reasons to fear tragic events are groundless. Most of the earthquakes have such low intensity, that you won’t even feel them as they occur. More intense earthquakes are foreseen by specialists and proper measurements are taken. L.A. is well prepared for such events and has everything it takes to avoid tragedies.
