Gaining Muscle Diets - The Lowdown

Those seeking muscles must combine the right mixture of exercise, nutrition and rest, in other words they need to be on a gaining muscle diet. Those guys that have trouble putting on muscles are commonly known as hardgainers, because they workout, yet still are without muscle or size. Now the hardgainer must always realize that it is not so much what they eat, but the amount of food that they eat!

Food intake is extremely important because those having trouble building muscles need the extra calories because your body devours calories as fast as they can be put in the mouth almost! You must feed your body to keep your high metabolism fueled so it does not start taking mass from your muscles for energy.

If you're wondering a little bit about how to work this gaining muscle diet here are a few tips to get you started!

  • Keep up with calories! Any time you are attempting to change your body, whether it be losing or gaining, it is important to keep track of your calories. This can give you a guideline as to your progress and then allow you to tweak it to your personal situation. If you see results than you know it is working, however if you're not gaining muscles, up the calories.
  • After you have learned how many calories you are taking in every day, try increasing them. Again this is a learning phase to see how many calories you need per day to gain muscle.
  • After you have been on the muscle gaining diet it is time to increase calories as well as toughen up your workout. This is an ongoing process and still needs to be tracked. As your body grows again it will need more calories and more intense workouts.
  • Change the way that you eat your meals, try 5 or 6 meals per day instead of 3. This spreads the calories out making it easier to keep your body fueled and not running on empty at any point.
  • Stay away from the supplements, you can gain muscle with the gaining muscle diet as well as your usual workouts. Do it right, stay away from snacks and you will have that muscled and buff body!
