The problem is that they don't have the slightest clue how to do it right. They apply the same old general tactics that really don't get things done. I used to think if I did bicep curls I would get big ripped muscles. It never happened. It wasn't until I actually sat down and did the necessary research that I learned what it took to put on muscle. I'm going to share a little about what I've learned to help you out at this.
People really don't understand which exercises will yield the fastest way to build lean muscle mass. I used to do the worst ones. Bicep curls and calve raises. They don't do much. You should stick to the compound exercises. These are the ones that work huge portions of the body. This style of lifting puts so much stress on the body, it forces muscles to grow extremely fast. Some of the best exercises are deaadlifts, squats and bench press. Having all three in your workout routine will greatly improve your results.

Too many people just focus on the gym and don't put much time into their diet. Simple things like eating smaller meals every few hours can help you almost double the amount of muscle you end up putting on.
