A Parent’s Guide to Drumming

Have you been looking for a way to get your kids of the couch, away from the video games or the computer?  If your child lacks self-discipline or self-motivation than I have the answer for you!  Drumming, every child has some interest in music it is only up to the parents to help develop that interest and bring it into perspective for them.

Drumming is a good choice as an extracurricular activity just for the amount of benefits that come with it.  It has been scientifically proven to strengthen the cardio muscles and if you have ever watched someone play the drums you can easily see where that would be true.

Drumming is one of the very few musical instruments that to play takes a lot of physical activity.  Every drummer goes thru an intense cardio workout when they are playing, near constant moving of the arms and legs.

Parents of drummers also noted that after signing their children up for drumming classes they have found that their children are more confident and secure.  When a child is left with a project to either succeed or fail and success is the option that they chose to pursue, you will find that the moral boosters are endless.

I have heard people refer to drumming as simply just beating around making noise.  That is so untrue.  Drummers are as much a musician as a piano player is.  That is like saying a frog is not an amphibian just because it is not a fish!  Drummers bring a lot to any frame of music they bring the beat or rhythm they can be the thunder in a storm or the roar of a wild animal.  Drumming for millions of years has played a big part in mankind’s perception of music.  What one person hears as a lullaby to the drumbeats another might hear the steady fall of the raindrops.

If your child has a passion for music or more specifically a passion for drumming, you can see that the benefits would be well worth it to let them give it a shot.  Why not sign your child up for drumming classes today?
