One word describes the CD Ecstasy from Avant... AWESOME!
I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Ecstasy. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Avant most impressive releases ever.
Listen to Ecstasy and I believe you’ll find there's not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and this is clearly the work of a group of musicians in top form. So much so that if you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this album.
While this entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 3 - Don’t Say No, Just Say Yes, track 8 - Six In Da Morning, and track 13 - Suicide
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Call On Me. This is a great track!

Review of the Carvin Bolt-T: Building a Better Stratocaster?
By: R. S. Rasnick | 02/01/2010The Carvin Bolt-T is a great playing and sounding instrument, but its principal feature might just be the cost. We asked for numerous upgrades (including a flamed maple top), and the instrument was still less than $1,000 (shipping included). Other guitar makers (including Fender) should take note of what Carvin offers for such an affordable cost.
Brief Review of the Breedlove C25/CR Herringbone
By: R. S. Rasnick | 02/01/2010Even though the C25/CR isn't a custom Breedlove, it's still an incredibly high-quality guitar. Just because it doesn't have the same custom options as more expensive Breedlove models doesn't mean it's not a solid instrument. It might be one of the finest acoustic instruments you'll ever play and is one that we recommend highly. The Breedlove Pro Series is worth every dime.

How to Plan a Successful CD Release Party
By: Ty Cohen | 02/01/2010Recording a CD is a great accomplishment. But once the CD is finished is when the real work starts. If nobody knows about the CD to buy it, then all the work that was put into writing the songs and recording the tracks is wasted.
Guitar Warm Up Exercise
By: Gene Phillips | 02/01/2010One of the important parts of being an excellent guitar player is your guitar warm up routine. I cannot stress to you novice players how vital it is that you just warm up prior to each play session. I know that you might be excited to learn songs, but you must realize that the warm up is going to strengthen your fingers, forearms, picking hand, and it can help you develop excellent habits. So, always devote some time to warming up, even if it's only for 5 minutes. One of the most...
