History of Plasma Arc Speakers

Plasma arc speakers are a particular kind of speakers, where varying pressure of air creates sound. It happens through a corona discharge or electric arc. These speakers consists a tweeter, which is far more improved than the traditional tweeter.

Plasma arc is actually a technology, which was first used in the metal industry long back in the year 1800. The intention to use this technology was to provide a high heat. Electrical plasma is used as driver in plasma arc speakers. Plasma is charged and has a minimal mass and for that reason an electrical field can manipulate them. It causes an output, which is very linear. And the frequency becomes much more higher than the audible range. Dr. Allan Hill invented a new kind of plasma arc speaker. It used helium rather than ozone and nitrous oxide.

There is another reason for this distortion and that is the high strong frequency.
