Looking for a way to quickly launch and listen an online music-listening experience while you're surfing the web?
I have to highly recommend Yahoo's Launchcast Radio application, powered by CBS Radio. I'm the kinda girl whose favorite bands include bands like Staind, Akon, Fuel and even a few country artists like Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson. Who'd a thought I'd like a song by an artist by the name of Greg Laswell? Does anyone know who this guy is? I've never heard of him. But am totally in love with his song "Salvation Dear" that I accidently discovered with " find similiar songs" feature of the Launchcast Radio that allows you to rate your favorites songs on a 5-star scale and then not only matches the songs that you most highly-ranked with new artists not already on your list, but also saves the playlists for you and gives you a limited number of times to replay each song on your demand.
What does this mean? Well, nothing, except that it's a quick and easy way to enjoy new music on the web and discover some of those artists that you might just like but have no idea who they are. Did I mention it's quick, free, easy and highly customizable?
A Note about Greg Laswell:While you may not have heard of "Salvation Dear", I'm sure you've heard "What a Day" somewhere. Sort of slow, he's gotta a good voice and you can hear it in this song with a slight menace, light-listening, heavy piano-playing, risque and well-crafted melody. Find them both on itunes, What a Day or Salvation Dear Give their app a try and if you like it, download their free AOL Radio toolbar:
