There are proven methods, like the ones I have already listed, and there are plenty that are still yet to be discovered. You will need to take risks and time to learn what works for you and your music and what will not. A solid website that contains tons of information, goals, projects, performance dates, and news is the key to being picked up by the media. Remember that if you must start at the bottom then so be it. Another great tip is contact larger colleges that have radio stations.
