<h1>The Pitfalls of Allowing Your Child to Become a Drummer</h1>Author: <a title="jack tan" href="http://www.articlesbase.com/authors/jack-tan/177256.htm">jack tan</a> Ok, so you have a kid that keeps insisting that he or she wants to play an instrument and that instrument is the drums.  However, of course, you, being the smart parent that you are, you know full well how bad an idea that is.  Therefore, I have put together a list of the reasons you should not allow your child to learn how to play the drums. <ol> <li>They are so noisy! That is not really music and Billy can do the same thing with pots and pans!  Ok so I have never seen a band whose drummer uses pots and pans yet, but you never hear the drums anyways. If the music needs a beat just stomp your feet that should work!</li> <li>My child who is not allowed to get dirty would actually sweat from playing the drums that is nasty so no way!  Are you kidding me? All of that moving around and pounding and leg pumping? I do not think so my kid stays nice and clean sitting on the couch no thank you!</li> <li>I have heard it gives you strong cardio muscles. One word ewwwww who wants a child that has a big bulging cardio muscle? Not me! My kid will stay nice and not bulgy I do not want his cardio sticking out whatever that is!</li> <li>My kid does not have the time! Why with all the video games and TV shows not to mention his computer time when would he have time to play the drums? No way out of the question!</li> </ol> 5. I give my child all the confidence and control and focus that she needs why, look at her now she is just waiting on me to provide her with her next task for the day.
