In 2003, Evanescence broke onto the mainstream music scene with something a little different – a solid female lead vocalist backed by a hard rock sound. “Bring Me to Life” The first song off of the debut album, Fallen. Reaching #3 on the Canadian Singles Chart, it was also selected for the soundtrack from the movie Daredevil, starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
“Going Under” The second single from Fallen was also featured on the video game Enter the Matrix as well as the feature film Tristan and Isolde. It reached #11 on the Canadian Singles Chart.
“My Immortal” The song debuted at #1 on the Canadian Singles Chart and hung out in the top five for twenty weeks. The song was featured in an episode of Smallville and a 20-second clip was featured on a promotional commercial for a season finale of the hit sitcom, Friends.
“Call Me When You’re Sober” The first single from the latest record, The Open Door, it reached #3 on the Canadian Top 100 Airplay Chart. The sisters of lead singer Amy Lee performed background vocals.
At least two more singles are planned for release from The Open Door. “Lithium” is already experiencing activity on the charts, while “Sweet Sacrifice” is slated for radio play later in 2007.
