I'm just a huge music fan!
Metropolis/Level 7 recording artist JULIEN-K has been very busy since the release of their long-awaited debut album Death to Analog earlier this Spring. Aside from playing a round of dates in the Southwest and
West Coast, the band has been hard at work, composing the score to the highly-anticipated video game for ActiVision's The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, based on the live-action feature film from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. The game's music includes over 70% of all new music by Julien-K, unreleased and composed specifically for the game itself. The game lets players take on the
role of their favorite AUTOBOTS® or DECEPTICONS®, picking from the largest, most diverse range of playable Transformers - each with their own distinct abilities and weaponry. The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game is currently in development by Luxoflux for the nearly all videogame platforms, including Xbox 360®, PLAYSTATION®3 and Wii™ and is rated "T".
Julien-K were featured in the first Transformers movie with their smash hit TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.
Julien-K's Death to Analog was released on March 10th and Revolver opined, "Imagine Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan with attitude instead of angst, and you'll have a sense of just how cool Ryan Shuck sounds." It was executive produced by Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and mixed by Tim Palmer (The Cure, HIM, U2).
Julien-K began as a side project for electronic music created by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck from Orgy, with the later addition of Brandon Belsky and Elias Andra.
Their debut album, Death to Analog, which was mixed by Tim Palmer, was released on March 10, 2009. Initially, the album was to be released on February 17, 2009; respectively, the date of the United States "death to analog" television.
Julien-K's webpage began in the summer of 2003 with the demo versions of songs "Look at You", "Kick the Bass", "Someday Soon", "Everyone Knows", and "Technical Difficulties". Up until 2007, the webpage said "Coming Soon." Since the official webpage launch, the site now has a wealth of information, links, photos, and other media.
Julien-K teamed up with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park to perform the song "Let Down" for the ReAct Now: Music & Relief televised concert.
The Julien-K production team of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, Brandon Belsky, and Anthony 'Fu' Valcic also worked with Chester Bennington to perform an exclusive version of the song "Morning After" for the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack and for the remix album of the band Mindless Self Indulgence's "What Do They Know?". The track was released as a bonus remix on Another Mindless Rip Off.
Julien-K has also teamed up on Chester Bennington's solo project, the band called Dead by Sunrise, formerly known as Snow White Tan. Dead by Sunrise is said to release their debut album in 2009.
"Both bands are the same. The one where Chester sings and writes is Dead by Sunrise, but when I sing, and Amir and I are the primary writers, it becomes Julien-K and it's more electro and much darker... Julien-K and Dead by Sunrise are basically a creative collective, we're sort of a Warhol-style factory in that sense[2]," explains Ryan Shuck. "Dead by Sunrise is Chester's Julien-K if that makes any sense."

How To Sing High Notes
By: Rae Henry | 08/01/2010One of the most difficult hurdles for a singer to tackle, is learning how to sing the high notes. This can be a daunting task, given that we don't often use this area of our voices during everyday speech. However, one of the most common reasons that singing the high notes can be challenging, is due to tension in the larynx and lack of focus in the resonators.
