It's my opinion that if you're going to be taking your lessons very serious you should buy a guitar lesson dvd home study program. Most of the time, these products take more care in the quality and organization of their lessons. This includes teaching more about reading music, and musical theory. If that doesn't concern you, and you want to get up to speed as soon as possible so you can start playing I suggest you enroll for an online guitar lesson membership site. The lessons won't be as organized but you can pick and choose what to learn, and learn it fast.
