Which Guitar to Buy When starting out try and pick an instrument that the student feels comfortable with and is the correct size. For example a young beginner choosing a guitar should allow for small hands by selecting a 3/4 neck (scaled down) and perhaps classical or Spanish type as nylon strings for a beginner are easier to play. Make sure all mechanical parts of the instrument are functional for example the machine heads or tuning pegs on a guitar turn smoothly with ease.
