Ever since the music industry made a vowel to destroy anybody that they caught downloading free mp3 tracks illegally, legions of people found themselves looking for alternative sources offering totally free music downloads. We all generally use the Internet to share information and find free music downloads from musicians that we love to listen to. So with that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to write an article stating why I think totally free mp3 downloads rock.
There is a lot of new music coming out these days but the majority of it is garbage. It's no big secret, that some of the CD's that are being released only have about one or two good songs on them. This is something that has caused millions of people to turn to totally free music downloads from legal music services which will let them download the free mp3 tracks they want, without forcing them to buy the entire cd.
The record industry obviously doesn't like this idea because they would be loosing a lot of money, but it makes no economic sense for the music fan who is only interested in one or two of the good songs on an artists CD.
The music industry needs to produce better quality music and find innovative ways of enticing their user base to buy complete albums instead of blaming their lack of sales to people looking for totally free music downloads. I can only hope that they see the light before it's too late, because it's not right for them to be trying to sue potential customers. Everybody loves totally free mp3 music downloads and the declining sales of CD's are not the direct result of it.
