Instant Civilizations?

The smooth trajectory that Darwin has outlined in his evolutionary scenario is far from what history tells us and the mroe we study, the more evidence that shows up, the more his theory becomes less believable. There are many myths regarding the earth's past; however, there are many facts that support some of those myths that don't allow us, with good conscience, to simply write off what we KNOW!

Darwin's theory of evolution cannot explain what appears to be instant civilizations.

While the evidence is growing that there was a Lemurian civilization, and while facts are increased nearly every month (yes, month) that Atlantis was an advance society, let's still keep them in the myth or semi-mythological category. However, that doesn't account for what appears as an instant civilization- Sumeria!

We look at America and today's modern technology and are amazed at what we have. We look back on the Greek and Roman civilizations and see our roots. But before the Greek and Roman empires, there were the Babylonian and Assyrian empires. And before them around 3,000-3,500 BCE the Egyptian culture burst on the scene. From where? How did they build the pyramids and have the technology that they did?

But Sumeria is even more perplexing!

Thousands of years before the Egyptian culture flourished (yes thousands) Sumeria was a very advanced society located in southern Mesopotamia. It was one of the earliest known civilizations in the world. It lasted from the first settlement of Eridu in the Ubaid period (late 6th millennium BCE) through the Uruk period (4th millennium BCE). And they were highly advanced. Where did they get their knowledge?

Archaeological discoveries of the cities of Sumer reveal that they were the first to practice intensive, year-round agriculture (at least as early as 5300 BCE). The were greatly advanced in concepts of justice. Excavations at Lagash show that they had great understanding of cosmology (They held that there were 10 planets, not 9), pharmacy, medicine and even surgery. Manuals on brain surgery and human skeletons that bear out such witness have been discovered.

Where's they come from and where did they get such knowledge?

And how did mankind then regress before slowly resurging again? Was life on earth interrupted by the four major catastrophies? That question is more easily answered than from whence did the Sumerians come to start. Instant civilization? But how?   :-)
