As a spiritual-futurist, I have a BA degree majoring in history. One cannot know the future without knowing the past which holds clues to what is on the horizon. The world is in such a rapid expansion of knowledge that we are close to entering a tipping point that will forever change earth as we know it.
We are spirit beings here on earth having a human experience. How's it working out for you? Spirit never ends nor is extinguished: thus, we WERE before we manifested here on earth in these physical shells called a human body. Some believe that they choose their parents, came here on a specific mission, etc. I don't know about that; however, what I can attest to is that we've long since forgotten the mission.
Have we suffered from an individual and a collective amnesia?
It appears to me that life is a progression to REMEMBER why we are here and who we are. We are not separate from anything, nor anyone. It's all Consciousness. Having shown up here as part of the homo sapien sapien collective we've been bombarded with junk to add to our DNA junk, maybe even turn good DNA into junk DNA. It's not that we've been pelted with space debris, but karmic debris.
History reveals that we're had five near extinctions, but, we've had far more "kick-starts".
More than just a couple of "axial ages", we've had jumps in consciousness when it seemed that we were headed into a blind alley of hopelessness. Hello! When you look at the planetary environment currently you have to sense that we're doing some very bad stuff to Gaia and thus to ourselves; therefore, think it not strange that we're seeing and sesning something major is about to happen (good stuff!).
Good News!
Jose Arguelles, who got a lot of the 2012 stuff going wrote in 1987 during the Harmonic Convergence hype (and reality), "From 1992 to 2012 a momentous wave of natural disasters will be set in motion, and human society world wide will experience an even greater acceleration of consciousness. Experiencing such dramatic convulsions of change will cause society to finally wake up at the last possible moment, and consciously shift gears into a new reality as one collective species."
Can I get a witness?
We've seen a lot of catastrophes since 1992. What have we NOT seen? Thus I am more than READY, I AM experiencing the pulses from without, absorbing the messages from within, and being transformed. For what, I'm not sure. That can come later. :-)
