Man Made Heaven

The philosopher has said, God created man in his image and man has returned the favor. God is whomever we have made him and so one should think it not strange that man has also created heaven in his  (man's) image. That which has to be spiritual, the religious has totally materialized into our own fancy and fallacies. 

I used to sing the songs- about a material heaven. No mas!

Walter Lanyon wrote it this way, " The man-made divinity is one with trailing robes, jewels and gold. In these pictures of heaven which are painted for us, we see reflected the savage longings of starved souls for possissions." That which we didn't get in this "nasty-now-n-now, we envision getting in the "sweet-bye-n-bye".

So is it any wodner we sing of streets of gold, heavenly mansions, and luxury galore: something akin to the Vatican I imagine.  :-(

We all create our own divinity, god, consciousness and it's usually a product of the denominational church from whence we've come. I've only known a handful of people who "got God understanding" and then discovered church. In other words they had a truly unique Damascus road experience. The Kingdom of heaven is WITHIN.

When Jesus discovered the Kingdom (heaven) within, it became an outward manifestation immediately and that's the way it should work. Jesus further discovered through the Christ-nature that the Presence of God is everywhere at all times. Once we grasp and spiritually discern  our permanent identity (I AM) life opens up AS heaven, here on earth, NOW!
