As a spiritual-futurist, I interpret current events in light of possible macro-universal forces at play leading up to 2012, but not limited to it.
So many things in life carry two faces, two extremes: meditation is no different. It is my sense that much of what the ancient forecasted date of 12.21.2012 is all about is humhood's exponential rise in consciousness, another axial age, and which will be brought into manifestation by meditation and contemplation. In order to do that we're going to have to have the right understanding of "being still".
Meditation isn't just some Far Eastern cult method that Westerners should avoid, especially Christians. The image of a person sitting on the floor in some convoluted-looking position, surrounded by liminal light, candles, and incense while chanting some unintelligent mantra isn't quite the correct picture. It is one nonetheless. And of course the added fear because we've many Westerners have been trained as such, is the quieting of the mind!
An empty mind is dangerous you know! :-(
Then why is it that we read in Psalms that we're to "Be STILL and know God". Maybe because the Bible is an Eastern written document and not a Western! Think maybe? Hopefully we can all admit that we're finite human beings with great limitations. Hopefully we can agree that the universe was created by a benevolent being. And with as much hope, maybe we can finally come to the place whe we begin to trust the process and trust that inner voice that needs some silence to be heard.
there are forces at play between now and 2012 (even more than are randomly and naturally occuring all the time) that we're going to need some help with and I'm talking supernatural, spiritual, Consciousness help! The best way that I know to access that help is to be more OPEN to the realms of reality and energy that is always communicating with us, sincee we are one with it. But, we must train ourselves to listen.
It's not the method or madness of meditation, but the MISSION!
Are you on the journey? Seriously? :-)
