Science and Spirituality

When I reviewed , what seems like eons ago, what I would call this project (web site), I had two pictures in mind that came from a six week teaching that I did in 2000. In essence, I've been seeing the marriage of science and spirit. Marriage might not be the right word for that assumes there was a non-marriage (separation), and that can't be. But saying they are ONE to many sounds like FANTASY- thus the FINAL FANTASY of 2012 is the merging more clearly and completely of science and spirit.

There is not you and I, but US!

There is not black, white, brown, and red colored people but spirit beings who always have been and always will be (yes, immortality), though not as tught by most religions. God">http://www.lrchouston.com/archive/god-is-not-a-man.php">God doesn't sit on a throne, nor does He (who isn't a gender either) have a white beard and loving smile. I don't even think that works to our advantage in Sunday School with young children.

What sure doesn't work is the "If you're a good little person, God will love you." mantra.

We've made all too difficult and complex. Remember Occam's razor? If not, how about the corollary- KISS! Even the most difficult and unbelieving scientists, particularly biologists are now coming to the uncomfortable place where it's not just "protein switches" that control the life of every cell in our bodies. Are you ready for this? Many, like Bruce Lipton, have come to the conclusion that messages are being activated and received from "out there"- from the universe, which begins at the end of your nose.

Descartes did all he could to convince us that science and spirit were separate. And he did that well, he just did it wrongly.

As we move closer to a global and universal consciousness, a tipping point will be reached and the HEART will take control of the HEAD. Gregg Braden put it this way, "Ultimately the key to transforming our most limiting beliefs (can you say- religious doctrines?), may be found in healing our most intimate relationships in this world...". The most intimate should be between we the creations and the Creator.

Should be! And one day will!   :-)

As a spiritual-futurist my commentaries and articles deal primarily with an interpretation of current events in light of macro-universal forces at play, particularly leading up to 2012.

The Essence of Dreams

By: Johnnie J. Lim | 22/12/2009
Dreams are divine interventions. These are essential messages that most human beings fail to understand. Dreams are sent by the divine being to inform us of what is going to happen, be it good or bad. Whether the mind is worried or not, dreams come to guide us in decision-making since no one is sure of what lies ahead.

In Bible versus Quran: Why was Jehovah angry with King Solomon?

By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 16/12/2009
The Bible says that Jehovah was angry with King Solomon, because his heart was turned away from Jehovah, the God of Israel, who had appeared unto him twice. In the Quran, anyone says or believes that King Solomon's heart was turned away from God is categorized as disbeliever and he or she will dwell in the Eternal Hell in the Afterlife.
