The Carpenter's Mask

Halloween has come and gone. The kids have more sugar than they need. They have taken off their masks, but we adults are still wearing ours. When Jesus went back home, the people could not believe what they were hearing. Where did he get such knowledge they asked? How could he do they things that the "carpenter" that they knew was doing?

The answer is that he took off His Jesus mask and began to walk in the in the permanent, core identity, without a mask- Christos!

Jesus became the Christos. No more masks. Yes he still knew Himself as Jesus but He had a relationship with the Father-Consciousness that would allow him to do those "miraculous things" that Jesus the carpenter could not. Jesus admitted that he the carpenter could do none of the thing he did but the Father-Consciousness within was doing them.

Jesus could not walk on water, raise the dead, or turn water into wine as Jesus the carpenter, but as Jesus the Christos who had an intimate relationship with who He was, the I AM, all things were possible. ALL things! And thus the lesson then goes to us. We too can do the miraculous (even more so- John 14:12) when we come into the ONENESS with Abba Father- and only then.

But that means that we must take off the various and sundry MASKS that we are wearing. You know the religious, self-righteous, worldly, cool and collected, fearful and worried, and a thousand other masks that we wear. May we take a lesson from Jesus and from our kids who've come in from trick-or-treating!

TAKE OFF THE MASKS!   :-)
