Just think about it. You look and you search and all these sites claim that you can get a free criminal background check on someone. Once you are at their site you don't find anything at all that will help you with a free criminal background check. Instead you find articles and links that go all over the place but never any free criminal background checks.

Then, when you finally come across the site that actually will hold your hand through the whole process of doing a free criminal background check you quickly realize what the word free actually means.

Free means, get ready to work. Get ready to look through the phone book and get ready to do exhaustive search engine searches and try to find friends and relatives and past associates of the person you are investigating. Get ready to go downtown to the courthouse and the sheriff's office and to wherever else those well meaning people may direct you in your search for information.

I mean, after all that, you would have been better off doing a background search right from you destop or laptop. Sure it may cost you as much as $40.00 or $50.00 bucks but it's better than spending all that time running all over the place jumping through hoops just to save a few bucks and it's all the information that you can legally get on someone. Besides, with gas now over $4.00 per gallon, (I almost threw up writing that) a hundred bucks seems like a small price to pay just to save the time and the liquid gold.
