Hiring a DUI Attorney Will Save Money and Time

Most people who are arrested for drunk driving believe that they can defend themselves in court.  However, there are quite a few reasons why it's advisable to hire a defense attorney including:

  • A DUI attorney is knowledgeable about current laws and your rights under those laws.  This will save a great deal of time - especially if this is a first DUI offense.
  • An experienced DUI attorney is aware of all the technical and medical processes that comprise a drunk driving case.  An attorney can find out whether or not the technology (breathalyzer) that was used during your arrest was properly maintained.  Furthermore, an attorney will analyze the police report and decipher if you were legally arrested.
  • You are putting your driver's license in jeopardy, your car insurance could be canceled, and you could go to jail - not to mention the penalty fees you have to pay.

If you've been arrested for drunk driving and the breathalyzer machine registered your blood alcohol content (BAC) at 0.08 or above, don't think that you've automatically lost your case.  A DUI defense attorney who is experienced and specializes in DUI cases knows that an investigation must be conducted to make sure all the information is accurate.  There's a chance that your BAC wasn't even close to being over the legal limit.

Make sure to get professional, experienced, and effective legal representation!  A DUI is an offense that shouldn't be taken lightly.  Unfortunately, many people think that they can fight a DUI case on their own, but they soon realize that it is a pretty complex process with many details involved.  Save yourself money and time by hiring a DUI defense attorney.

By: Shaneela Khan | 28/12/2009
The debate about Social Security’s depleting fund has been going on for years. Recently, analysts have begun discussing possible solutions to ensure the availability of Social Security for future generations. The Social Security Administration’s 2005 trustees report predicted massive annual deficits starting by 2017. This means that by 2017, this Administration will be putting out more money than it’s collecting through taxes. What’s even more troubling is that there’s no definite plan of actio

While making disability determinations, one of the steps Social Security goes through is to ask whether or not the claimant's condition “meets or equals a listing.” The Listings are a list of impairments that are considered severe enough to prevent a person from doing any gainful activity. Most of the listed impairments are permanent, very serious, or expected to result in death. The impairments are grouped together by the major body systems that they affect. By: Shaneela Khan | 28/12/2009
This week, Michael Astru, the Commissioner of Social Security held hearings on a “Compassionate Allowances” program. The proposed program is aiming to get children and adults with serious, rare diseases on disability benefits much faster. This is quite a change, considering the Administration has been notorious for prolonged wait periods and strict guidelines on disability determinations. The December 2007 Compassionate Allowances hearings were the first of the public outreach hearings that the
