Just day before yesterday while on my balcony with an extremely hot and steamy hot glass of tea, kept on the lamp pillar for my leisure sips, later, I was feeding the birds with cooked rice, a part of my daily routine. Sparrows and pigeons were busy feeding themselves with their rightful share of lunch. Since, climate felt to be good and comfortable with less heat, I was whiling away my time watching these ‘innocent’ souls feeding themselves, sometimes playfully fighting for more share of grains and rice, some boss among them, displacing all others till his contended feeding ritual is over, but who had time to listen and obey the BOSS!
When I saw them and being aware of their nature of being inquisitive; I warned them loudly and mentally ‘keep away from hot tea’ a couple of times but younger one considering itself to be too shrewd and may be thinking that this two legged one ‘Levi’ denims clad with green ‘BOSE’ tees is gone nuts and being curious and inquisitive enough, put its big beaks fully in a split second, into steaming hot tea in spite of a forewarn from this ‘two-legged dangerous animal and on the other hand the other more modest was busy relishing hot cooked rice.
The reaction was instantaneous and the poor crow could not utter its harsh ‘crow’ due to stinging and searing heat of the tea and could only manage to ‘open its Beak wide’ in cinema-scope mode; telling its companion that it is very hot and keep yourself away from it. The vocabulary of communication was simple! Universal sign language which can be understood by all!
