If you are in a network marketing business there is a good chance that you were told that everyone on Earth needs your products. For instance, if you are selling skincare, well, everyone has skin, right? Or what about health and wellness products. Everyone needs good health for a long productive life, right? Or even if you are marketing telecomm. Almost every home has a telephone, so why wouldn’t everyone be the perfect market for you and your products?

Building your business is like giving a referral for a product or service. So let’s look at it this way. You would not tell your friend about a fantastic steak place that you found where they serve the juiciest, finest cuts of beef if you know that he or she is a vegetarian. And on that same note, you would not expect that person to pass along that great find to other people. How would they know that it’s great steak, and why would anyone believe them if they don’t even eat meat? You might be thinking that is a silly scenario, but people do this kind of thing all the time in their businesses, just to add another rep to their team, and try to boost themselves to the next level. This is definitely not the way to explode your business.

The truth of the matter is, not everyone wants what you have. It’s not about teaching people why they want what you have to offer and trying to convince them why they need your products if they wanted something else entirely.

Part of the reason that most marketers fail miserably is that they try to market their products to people who have no need for what they are selling, nor do they want or desire what they are selling. In the true definition of marketing you have to realize that you have to give 110% of what you have, all of your resources – which means empowering, communicating, and developing relationships with others based on their needs, not your own. Basically, don’t sell people. You want to inspire people to buy. You want your clients to be excited about what you have to offer.

To keep it simple, you want to be marketing your products, not just selling them. In order to do that, you need to find the people that want what you have. How do you do that? It’s really quite simple – by looking for people that have already purchased products similar to yours, or people that have sought out information regarding a product that solves a problem, and you happen to market a product that can do just that.

There is no need to work so hard convincing someone that they really need your product or service. In the end, you might end up making a sale, but would they be a continual repeat customer? Probably not. Fulfill the needs, wants and desires of people and you have your client base for life.

Do yourself and your business a great service, and learn to become a great marketer, and not just a salesperson.

That phrase is “multifunctional printer” and it is used to describe todays office printers that have several functions contained in them.
