There is a common concept that gets thrown around network marketing that I tend to whole heartedly disagree with. It’s called “recruiting”. Think about this for a moment… do you want to be recruited Or Mentored?
Yuck! Recruiting almost sounds like we are the army or something, going out to hunt people down and get them into our business no matter what it takes! Recruiting puts this massive pressure on you to go out and recruit, and also on the people who are being recruited. Everyone can feel it when there is a recruiting mentality. I think there is a much better mentality to use when building a network marketing business.
It’s called Mentoring. Or better yet… relationship building.
That’s all we ever have to do to be successful in network marketing. Build relationships. When our focus is to genuinely get to know all of the people we are talking to…it makes the task of building this business completely effortless.
When I sit down and talk with people who have opted in to learn more information about my business…the first thing I do is try to get to know them better. I take the time to start building a relationship.
When the foundation of your relationship, whether business or personal, is trust…that relationship will be MUCH stronger because of it.
Relationships are the glue that holds your entire network marketing company together. Not to mention, they hold your entire network marketing business together. The more your focus is on building strong relationships, the stronger your entire business will be.
I strongly advise getting out of the recruiting mentality, and entering into a mentality where all that matters is how you can best help the person you are talking too.
That person’s wants and needs absolutely have to come before yours.
People can tell when someone is thinking about themselves and themselves only. That’s a big turn off. People want to know the person they are doing business with genuinely cares about their wants and needs.
Ok…I’m not going to go into it much more because you need to learn exactly how to generate endless growth for your business. I just want to make sure that you know exactly the type of leader you need to be to take total advantage of the system you are about to learn.
When you have all the pieces put together, it will make the growth of your business happen with way less effort then if you are trying to hammer a square block into a circle hole. Not having your own internal game in order is much like trying to hammer that square into a circle.
