If there is one thing you can say about author David Oakford, it is that he is brutally honest. Yes, he did take drugs – specifically PCP.

Back in 1979, he was a depressed and reckless young man, who thought nothing of partying as hard as possible with his friends. What he didn’t realize however is that he’d soon be learning of perhaps the most important message he’d ever receive. When he accidentally overdosed, he never expected to find himself on the other side of the veil. And he certainly never imagined that an angel would come to his rescue.

In Journey Through The World Of Spirit, Mr. Oakford first explained that it took him some 30 years to come to terms with what he experienced and just as long to summons the courage to share his story. For those who have never had a near death experience, his story might be hard to believe – but not for me. In 1998, I also had an NDE.

Mr. Oakford takes the reader on his fascinating journey, which was guided by a light spirit he called ‘Bob.’ Strange name I suppose, but who am I to judge. With this beings assistance, he learned how to communicate and even travel by mere thought. His trip took him to the Egyptian pyramids, on to outer space and finally to an all-too-familiar Spirit City where he experienced a life review and was asked if he’d go back to complete his earthly journey.

Thanks to ‘Bob,’ he learned many things along the way, such as good stewardship of planet Earth and the importance of emitting positive thoughts. Most importantly, he met Jesus who told him that the most important thing to remember was to love others unconditionally. I gasped when I read that, because Jesus told me exactly the same thing!

If you would like to learn more about Mr. Oakford’s amazing experience and what it’s like in Spirit City, you need to read this book. You are sure to come away from it with a new outlook on life and particularly, on death.

How many actual miles did Jesus travel during his 3-year ministry?
By: Jesus' Travels | 19-08-2008
I once heard a radio preacher site the number of miles Jesus traveled during His three-year ministry while here on earth. Unfortunately, I did not write down the information nor do I remember the preacher's name and time of his broadcast. Is there anyone else in the Yedda community who might know the actual miles Jesus 'walked' to deliver his message and perform his miracles? I need this information to embellish a speech I am making on the divine appointment of foreign missionaries.

Book Review: Lady of the Roses by Sandra Worth
By: Martha Jette | 02/03/2008 | Literature
Lady of the Roses is a heart-wrenching tale of love and war set in England in mid-1400. It recounts the ongoing battle for supremacy between the houses of York and Lancaster, the white rose and red rose respectively. At the same time, two powerful families – the Nevilles, who favored York and sought peace, and the Percies, who followed no one but themselves – struggled for control of the land.

Book Review: Bee Balms & Burgundy by Nelson Pahl
By: Martha Jette | 02/03/2008 | Literature
The Author’s Note at the beginning of this novella left me wondering. “To every woman who has fought the battle, and the subsequent self-doubt and fear, win or lose… I offer my respect.” Nelson I thought perhaps that Nelson Pahl referred to the timeless battle women face when it comes to love – from finding the right partner, to attempting to build a relationship with one man that would last a lifetime. Boy, was I wrong!
