Why Some Spells Work and Why Some Do not

At first I thought to give you a blueprint on how to get your spells to work, but we all know that spiritualism, energy and with all aspects of magick you cannot possibly give a handover that will work for everyone! You don't have to believe in Magick but many for centuries have and Hollywood certainly does! If you're reading this article you obviously believe to some degree that magick does work so by no means do not read any further if you are looking on being convinced. I've met people from all over and many ask why didn't their spell work, how much longer will it take or ask even the biggest question DOES MAGICK WORK?! From the surface I will tell you that if your magick did not work, it may have not been done properly, and magick takes as long as it has to lastly magick definitely works!

If your general practitioner when affiliating yourself with ANY magick make sure of the following:

1. Proper Timing

Proper timing the magick correspondences is key. This may start of with the correct day, month, and time that the spell should start and in some cases should end. The Moon phase is one of the keys to potency not to mention the success in Spell casting. Farmers and botanist have been using these timing to a huge degree for centuries.

The most popular correspondence many practitioners use is by using the 4 phases of the Moon. There are four phases of the Moon... New Moon, Waxing Moon, Full Moon and the Waning Moon. Each of these phases has a 7 day period for doing your Magical workings. The other popular timing is that of astrological positions of the planets to days of the week. For instance you wouldn't want to cast a spell during a Mercury Retrograde for a grand announcement because during this time communication is very mis- communicated to during this time.

2. Ill Prepared

Just imagine having guest over at your new home for dinner and not only did you not think about having beverages, or you didn't bother to stock the bathroom with the necessities. Need I say more? You may possibly need herbs, colored candles, and in using sympathetic magick more and likely an object that represents your spell objective such as a rose, a piece of clothing, lock of hair etc, oils and of course the proper spell. The herbs, colored candles and oils are specific ones that are associated with that type of spell. In other words they have a vibration that is related to the what you are trying to accomplish. For instance if you are doing a love spell you would not want to use green candles... you would want to use red candles and if you were doing a money spell you would not want to use red candles... you would use green. 3. The Right Practitioner

Remember, not all practitioners are gifted equal. Just as you must shop around for a medical physician you should do the same for your magick practitioner until YOU feel comfortable. If you are trying to do a love spell, you must have the emotion of love for that person to project out into the universe in order for it to manifest. In other words you cannot be angry or depressed when doing the love spell. The same goes for Black Magic Hexes and so forth... you must be worked up into rage or a very hate filled mood to project hate at the Victim. You cannot expect a Hex to work on someone if you are in a elated state when performing the spell. Your mind must be in sync with the type of Spell you are doing. Plus you must believe in your work and not have doubts. How can you expect a spell to work if you don't believe in them (the practitioner) but you want to try them just to see if they do work. In many cases to hire a practitioner to do this work for you will cost you more than you'd pay to do it for your self as the spell is not for them put for you and the desire is then thus transferred. Last but not least and I must say out loud: Just because your practitioner or you start to study or have had some interest in paganism, vodou, kabalah etc. does NOT make you or the other person a guru at spell casting!!!! Again, it only comes with practice and dedication!

4. Consider the equation of Will Fate & Destiny's Timing

This is one of the most trickiest of them all! Your "WILL" plays a huge part in any given spell and so does the "WILL" of others so do consider this notion. Now is it your Fate and Destiny to attain what you want? Well...let's just say that all that WILL Be WILL Be. This is just too deep of a topic to go into one Newsletter but any wise practitioner knows how to deal with this would be dragon! Finally, how long does or should a spell take to work? Just know that the Universes and or spirits time does not adhere to our universal clock work here down on this planet earth. If done properly in time (undefined) your desire will manifest as the energy you have put out to do so...

5. The experience of the Practitioner

Remember that practicing magick is a building process. You won't gain instant wizardry by going to the nearest bookstore or via the internet etc and casting a few spells from the book. Dabbling only begets you dabbled results. So start of with simple spells if you're new to the practice. If you go to a practitioner make sure you interview them, and by all means don't be afraid to ask for references. If you do decide to use a practitioner make sure your relationship is an open and honest one. One of my biggest peeves is a client that isn't open about his or her case and denies the obvious.

6. The Energy of the Practitioner

If you want results, potency and success ENERGY is a is KEY! From protecting yourself during a ritual to casting a lustful love spell to boiling all the energy needed into Hex spell - without the energy there is no result - or at least the results you anticipate. Before you do any spell put every non magickal energy you know to get things in order to help as magick is not a band aid or blaster to put onto a problem!

7. Your Knowledge and Belief

You must believe in your magical workings not to mention understand what the hell you're saying. Don't give an oath or pray to a god, goddess or spirit that you aren't even familiar with not to mention are unable to pronounce their name! You must have faith, be patient and you must believe but above all it's more than helpful to know something about the origin or why the spell should work for you. So many of you want to try some spells first to see if they work and then you'll decide to believe. That's not the way to do it! If you do not believe in the Occult and Magick... then I suggest you stay away from it as Magick is a way of life.

8. The proper Spell...

Let's face it... you must have a good spell as much as you should have the proper prescription for your ailment! Some of the spells out there are pure crap and some are really good. Some spells may work better for you than others, so experiment and keep a journal of your workings so that you will know which ones work best for you and which ones don't. Also just because a spell doesn't work for you doesn't mean that it is no good... you may have not been the right state of mind or maybe you didn't have the proper materials. All the above things on this page come into play. So like I said... keep a journal and find the Spells that work for you!

9. Dedication

Some spells require several days and for you to be very loyal to the timing of when you re-enforce them daily else the spell is incomplete and will not work. This means from the start of preparation to even AFTER the spell has been cast. Many first time casters forget the oaths they've taken or the seriousness behind the words mentioned within their rituals during their spell casting. Dabbling will only get you in trouble not to mention unsatisfactory results.

10. One spell at a time

Sorry, mixing spells is not prohibited. Mixing materials from other spells used and finished is not going to work here as the energy from those items such as your candles and materials relating directly to the spell done last has that energy specifically as hopefully you had raised. I know you want Fame, Fortune, Beauty, love, Luck and what ever else you can get but everything takes time and energy.
