Jodi Levy is a designer/copywriter and mother of 3 young children who is deeply concerned about the global Islamic threat.
From boardroom to ballroom, world leaders, diplomatic delegations, international forums and leagues of nations gather in their hordes and packs to face off with the world’s number 1 enemy: Iran. And since the subject is a spiralling nuclear threat and Islamic genocidal aspirations, the frenzy is gathering speed and desperation in an heroic attempt to abort the audacious threat that flaunts its arrogant face in the most hallowed of all assemblies: The United Nations.
Times would be a lot brighter if the above were even vaguely true. But truth these days is irony in disguise.
As it happens, Iran, world peace enemy number two, is currently threatening national genocide upon world peace enemy number one: Israel. And so while the scurrying of the ants gives the impression that there is much hurry, haste and work to do, very little is being accomplished by the world’s most supposedly accomplished negotiators.
The battle of the bullies continues down a predictable path with next to no challenge by the media: Posturing, threats, and then more posturing. Sanctions are ignored. As is unanimous condemnation and international indignation. In fact: the Iranians carry on their merry way doing what they do best: whatever they want. And for some reason, the story is tired, pushed off the front pages due to Israel’s supposed continued refusal to secure Middle East, and therefore world, peace. And of course, since the target of the genocide in question isn’t so popular anyway.
No, the top contender for political and media attention remains to be the Palestinian issue. Or to cut to the chase: Save the Palestinians VS Save the Jews.
Consider the other side of the coin. DESPITE years of intense international bullying, condemnation, indignation, posturing, boycotts, threats, and every other possible public humiliation: Israel has done what would be unthinkable in any other nation- declared foreign statehood on their own land, evicted their own citizens from their homes, withdrew from sovereign territory, negotiated with enemies, debated the rights of her capital city and freed thousands of convicted terrorists, all in the name of international goodwill (since an Israeli national consensus on said concessions was sorely lacking).
On the other hand, DESPITE overwhelming international support, global funding, world sympathy, political gain, universal goodwill, hope and empathy, the Palestinians have thus far: retreated further into violent fundamentalist mire with a popular fanatical terrorist government, supported a war against their “peace” partner, masterminded daily rocket attacks on civilian populations, built a burgeoning arms smuggling operation to bolster their “liberation”, and continually educate their youth toward homicide, amongst other deadly developments.
In fact, the Palestinians carry on their merry way doing what they do best: whatever they want. And so does the rest of the world, it seems. It’s time Israel jumped on the bandwagon.
Who else is going to save the Jews?
