Scientology Volunteer Ministers European Goodwill Tour Brings Help to the People of Timisoara, Romania

The European Scientology Volunteer Minister Goodwill Tour has completed its two-month stay in Timisoara.  Hundreds of local residents found workable solutions to problems through courses, seminars, one-on-one assistance, and booklets based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology and its Volunteer Minister program.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour provided assistance with such things as improving communication, creating a successful marriage or salvaging one that is in trouble, raising children, coping with problems at work and resolving conflicts.

“After finishing the course I was more confident in myself,” wrote one student.  “I removed the stone that was keeping me a prisoner in the darkness of misunderstanding and stupidity.”

A group of the course graduates decided to form their own local Volunteer Minister team.  This corps of volunteers includes students, engineers, police officers, and business people—literally people from all walks of life. The Goodwill Tour team helped organize the group.

The new Scientology Volunteer Ministers group has lost no time getting active in helping the people of Timisoara.  They have started working at an after school program, helping children improve their ability to learn using study technology from the Scientology Handbook.  They are fundraising on behalf of needy families and training both parents and children so they can all improve their lives. They have even signed on to volunteer at a summer camp for troubled youth.

By: Jerry Schaeffer | 17/12/2009
Safety is one of our most important concerns. Nothing compares to living in a safe neighborhood, going to a safe school, working in a safe office or relaxing in a safe environment. More than the hazards posed by these different environments, we should also be concerned about the people we interact with. This is why it is quite normal for us to do a random national instant criminal background check on other people.
