In the nucleus of nearly all human cells there are 46 small structures that are called chromosomes. These chromosomes are made up generally of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). DNA contains the genetic instructions which make people the way they are. These genetic instructions are written in a four letter chemical alphabet: A (adenine), T (thymine), C (cytosine) and G (guanine). Researchers can just find a use for about 3% of the DNA in our cells.
Paternal and maternal lineages. The two well-known types of genetic genealogy tests are the Y-DNA - paternal line - and mtDNA - maternal line - genealogical DNA tests. These tests compare the DNA of a person to that of another to define how many generations ago the two individuals shared their most recent common ancestor. These tests permit two people to define with all the certainty that they are related within a certain time frame or the vice versa.
Biogeographical and ethnic origins. Additional DNA tests exist for defining biogeographical and ethnic origin.
Human migration. Genealogical DNA testing methods are used for a longer time to trace human migratory models and define, for instance, when and how the first human beings came to the North America. One significant attempt that is presently happening is the genographic project. It aims at mapping historical human migration models by analyzing DNA patterns from more than 100,000 people all over five continents.
Genetic genealogy gives genealogists a model to check the historical record with data from genetic information. A positive test match with another individual may discover living relatives, validate existing research, give locations for further genealogical research, confirm or deny suspected connections between families, help define ancestral homeland, prove or disprove theories regarding ancestry.
The important reasons of that people do not want to be DNA tested is the price of these tests and problems with private issues. Nevertheless, the price becomes more than just affordable. In addition, confidentiality of one's genetic markers can be restricted to families or groups. Such data results, where there are the data of people’s analyses, are often anonymous and are identified by a quantity which may be known to the person itself.
More than that, Y-DNA and mtDNA testing just trace one lineage, (in other words, one's father's father's father's etc. lineage or one's mother's mother's mother's etc. lineage). Several generations back, a person has 1024 ancestors and a Y-DNA or mtDNA test. It studies 10 of those 1024 ancestors. To my mind almost all human societies fit the cultural pattern that coincides with the genetic data. The article reflects the holistic, integrating approach of anthropology nature and respects a long tradition in anthropology and population studies.

Phaedre’s feelings seem to her eternal and limitless, unbounded. It is our nature that we are sure in our feelings and emotions ‘of our own ego’ (Freud 12). This ego is Phaedre’s autonomous part, however, such statement is not right as the ego is a part of a person and it continues ‘inwards, into an unconscious mental entity’.

Book/Writing Advice
By: cjdaves157 | 24-07-2008
I am writing a book. Below is an excerpt, looking for opinions and advice.
Given A Choice
I have often tried to imagine what my life would have been like if I could have picked my parents and circumstances in advance. If given a choice before birth I am sure I would have chosen a wealthy, high profile, investment banker father with a mother who spent her entire days planning fundraising soirées for the benefit of underprivileged kids.
My childhood would have been filled with lavish vacations, shopping sprees and summers studying abroad. All of my friends would line up for the chance to stay over at my five story one hundred and fifty room mansion located somewhere off the west coast where the sun was always shining and the olympic size pool was always inviting. My nanny, obviously from some foreign country, would take care of all the daily chores that would have helped me to grow into a responsible adult. My teenage bedroom would have been the size of a normal ranch style house with a closet the size of a three car garage. I would have been the envy of every teenage girl and the crush of every teenage and preteen boy.
I imagine I would have sailed through adolescence and breezed through young adulthood without any obstacles to help shape my moral values. I envision me selecting Civil Law as my profession and the standard successful husband and two and a half kids. My children would grow to become successful adults with professions in the medical, legal and political fields.
After spoiling tons of grandchildren and leaving my mark on the world, I would have died somewhere around the age of ninety-five, quietly in my home under the care of a most wonderful and loving Hospice worker. My life?s achievements and my husband?s pension would ensure that my children and their children would be set financially for life. I am sure that I am not alone in my thoughts of what would have made the perfect atmosphere for the perfect childhood. Some may have chosen more exotic locations, more wealth or maybe more high profile, celebutant parents. I envision that just enough for whatever I wanted would have been perfect enough.
Similar to how infertile couples pick out sperm at a sperm bank I use to think it would have been nice to review the details of what I was being born into. Looking back now I know that choice is not always a good thing. Most children born into the scenario I described above end up killing thirty of their peers in a school yard shooting, after which suicide seems to become their only way out. I believe that there is a higher power that does review the blueprints of families and has a keen sense for why you are placed where you are. Still, when I think back to the sperm analogy used above, I see my parents picking ?purple sperm? and I came out ?green?.
