Yeti , The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas

Is the Abominable Snowman still a mystery?

Maybe so because He is still a mystery since the mystery underlying his existence is still mysterious. There had been moments when in the past many had tried to unravel the mystery behind it but failed miserably. What with the intense cold and lashing bizarre winds blowing severely, it was extremely difficult to continue the search for long.

Continuous searching through the thick ice formed path in the mountains of Tibet was a laborious task because mountain trekking through ice was unthinkable but only possible with the help of local mountaineers of the region.

In the past strange footprints were discovered in the thick snow covered path .The footprints were of immense gigantic size that all were shocked to see it. The footprints were sunk deep inside the snow but on comparison with ordinary humans, it represented an immensely huge giant size gorilla of the ancient prehistoric times. Some were of the conclusion that the creature may be well over 10 feet in height and strong enough to endure living in the extreme cold regions of the Himalayas. However much they tried to follow the footpaths in the snow, they were disappointed in the end as they lost the tracks which were covered by the snow.

The creature was so elusive and fleeted away mysteriously from human sight and habituations during the day. It has not actually been reported that his existence was a reality. But since his footprints were a reality and seen; the creature was dreaded and came to be known as Big Foot. So far the creature had not attacked humans before. So how could he be named an abominable creature? Maybe the people imagined that they may likely encounter a frightfully dangerous creature which they could never foresee what appearance it would be when it attacks them. But so far such an unfortunate incident has never occurred.

The people around those desolate areas have come up with many strange stories about this frightful creature which had appeared before them as they slept in their tents at night. They were awakened by a wild cry and were horrified to see a giant sized creature pulling down their tents. Terribly frightened they scattered and ran in different directions. But in that instant the creature  had disappeared into the snow covered mountains.

But all these were not proved later as they could not trace anything about the creature. Some believed that it may be a giant human otherwise how it can have so much intelligence to run away so fast and remain hidden like that. But till now, the abominable snowman is a mystery and will remain so as long as long as there is thickly clad snow in the Himalayas.

The Tibetans call him yeti or the abominable snowman as the mystery surrounding him is still not solved. They fear the creature more than anything else. But  they should be proud that such a creature is near them and the world is curious to know the truth.

But in the future, I believe the truth will be known as the global warming is gradually changing the face of the climatic conditions of all regions. The ice is known to be melting gradually and a time will come when there would not be sufficient ice to give cover for the elusive creature of the Night...
