4 Reasons Why Your Website Should Offer A Free Newsletter

Does your website need more promotion? Do you need more visitors, traffic and (of course) sales?
If the answer is yes, let me ask you another question. Do you offer your potential customers a free newsletter to draw them into your business with no obligation to buy?
If you don’t, you’re missing a lucrative marketing trick. If someone finds your website and buys from you, you have the opportunity to promote and sell them further items.
But what happens if a visitor arrives at your website, has a look round… and then leaves without buying anything, never to return? You have no way of knowing who that person was, or if they would have eventually bought something from you.
You need to catch as many potential customers as you can, as soon as they reach your website, so you can establish a relationship with them… which will increase your chances of making a sale to them in the future.
Here are some reasons why you should be thinking of writing a newsletter:
1 – It enables you to build a relationship with your potential customers. Trust is a valuable commodity - especially online, where people can’t see the person they’re buying from, or see the product until they’ve bought it. Overcome this hurdle and you’ll make a lot more sales.
2 – As you establish a customer base for your newsletter, your sales will increase too. Many website owners find that they can send an email to their subscriber base about a new product and virtually guarantee a certain level of sales as a return.
3 – A newsletter allows you to keep your site fresh in people’s minds. You’ll be able to remind people you’re out there, and your company name will become a familiar sight to them. In this way, when they’re looking for something you supply, your company name should come to mind. Don’t bombard them with offers and information, and don’t email them just for the sake of trying to make a sale. Make your newsletters worthwhile – offer a discount, a special offer, a freebie once in a while. Make your newsletter worth subscribing to!
4 – Add a little of yourself and your own character to the newsletters. It helps to establish a connection with your subscriber base – and the more people know about you, the more likely they are to trust you and buy something you’re offering.
Look for long term gain when you’re writing your newsletters. The more subscribers you get, the more potential there will be to gain more traffic, more leads and more sales from your website. It’s like a snowball rolling downhill – after a while it gathers pace, and you’ll have more subscribers (and more sales) than you thought possible.
