Many people agree that a college education is one of the most important ways to get ahead in this world, there is not arguing the statistics that people with a college education have considerably higher salaries that those who don't. Search engines – you'll be surprised what you can find by doing some targeted searches with your favorite search engine Academic advisors – their job is to help you advance your career and many will have suggestions for you on how to get financial aid Scholarship database – there are scholarship databases you can search, you can usually find them online or via your advisor School message boards – often school message boards list different scholarship opportunities Athletic Scholarships – As you might have guessed, not everyone is lucky enough to have a high grade point average and be an up and coming superstar in their chosen field. If you can't get a scholarship based on academic standing, you might want to consider trying to get a scholarship based on your athletic standing. These are awarded by the colleges and universities themselves and the competition is just as competitive as the academic scholarships.
