A common disorder that affects an estimated 3 to 4% of the population is called, generalized anxiety disorder. With this disorder, fear, worry, and anxiety fills this person's life. Anxiety disorder treatment depends on the severity and length of the problem. An important factor is the sufferers willingness to actively participate in treatment . He or she can learn to change the way the brain responds to familiar thoughts and feelings that have previously caused anxiety.
When a person with panic is motivated to try new behaviors and practice new skills and techniques, he or she will respond to treatment better and faster. Willingness to change is a huge step in recovering from anxiety disorders and the belief that you are not stuck with living with the panic for life will set you free from anxiety disorder for good.
