Depression Can Cripple Your Spirit

If you always feel down and you do not want to be around other people, connect with them, share their happiness, if you always feel sad, it is better that you take the situation in your own hands before you lose it and go consult a psychiatrist. He probably is the best person who can get you out of this mood.
Depression is an illness that affects much more people than we would like to believe, even children, and not many of them actually proceed in getting proper counseling and treatment. For example, in the US, around 9.5% of the people suffer from this psychic affection. For the ones who are not familiarized with the concept of this illness, depression seems just a sad period in someones life. A little joke will not cure it, because it is a real burdon for the people affected by it.
The treatment for depression is a complex one and it involves regular visits to the psychiatrist combined with a special medication prescribed by the doctor, all at the right price, of course. But no price is too high when you suffer so much, and the only thing to do is to face up this awful illness.
The regular activities or even normal habits of the affected individual are disturbed in such manner that he/she will can lose even their desire for life. The individual feels sad most of the time, has no self esteem, self confidence and he/she tries even to cut all human contacts trough a severe isolation.
Depression affects all the people who try to understand the ill person, because the complexity of this illness is not that easy to understand, and they can cease under the pressure or even quit trying to help. But modern times once again helps us in the battle with this illness and provide the people in need proper therapy ( a cognitive behavioral talk or interpersonal talk ) and medication, which can produce successful results.
The first step in the cure of depression is recognizing that you have a problem; then you can do something about it. The symptoms can be different from one individual to another, and can also have various levels of intensity ( a sudden lack of interest for a once loved hobby, too much sleep, insomnia, anti-social behavior ). If you are aware of one of this symptoms you should help the person in need or help yourself by setting an appointment to a psychiatrist and stop the depression get serious by counseling and treatment.
We should not let depression get us, instead we should act in order to prevent it or cure it, and get on with our lives because life it is too short and beautiful to let it pass along us. Dont let nothing upset you in such manner that you chain your spirit by depression, because it is a long way back to become free again.

Please, I Need help with my Girlfriend
By: omgitistotallymatt | 21-11-2007
If you have read my earlier threads, i have been talking about my girlfriend and I "touching" so to speak. I have talked with her and found it is against her personal morals to do this sort of thing. While i respect this decision, and I have asked multiple times if it was something else (only to get the reply no), could it be she is insecure, or is she really not ready? Also, being a teenager, I do not totally comprehend the opposite sex, but the only reason why I bring this up is that I have an urge telling me deep down that this is the right thing to do. I know that I should not totally trust it, but I was wondering, could she have the same feeling in her, she is jsut hiding/repressing it?Above all this, I see her this weekend, and personally, I would like to show her a good time, but in order to do this I feel I will have to get her into that "sensual, hot" mood, if you catch my drift, does anyone have any ideas on that.If anyone can help me on this, I am very thankful. I know she loves me, and I love her back, but this urge is starting to kill me a bit inside, so I want to fix it now. Should I ask her if she has the same feelings inside, I have asked her many awkward ?'s and she seems to be ok with them. Thanks for any answers.

My girl and I aren't getting a long as well anymore & I thinks somethings up. Everthing seems like it's forced and not natural. She works in a bar and I thought for a while that she was banging someone from work or a customer. She only works 3 nights and a couple of day shifts a week. I work from home and we only have one cadid I mention we live together. Im up ther a lot and pretty much know everyone, but I have this funny feeling somethings up. I've been feeling blown off a bunch lately, hence why I thought she may getting mustache rides. I recently broke up with her and she begged for another chance, but I dont know what to do. Now she's up my butt, but I still feel that it's more fear driven then anything else. Everything just seems flat??Im confused. ?? r & it's m
Follow up thread, is it time to touch mi gf?
By: omgitistotallymatt | 18-11-2007
Orion, this is the same thread i started earleier, i just want to covey that i believe it is the parents causing this to make her feel "dirty", and how she thinks tht if other people know she will be dirtty. how can i subtly tell her this is not so, and (i will be seeing her soon with mostly alone time) how can I do these things to her so she will become comfertable (the whole touching thing). I feel that she believes that we dont need to do this. We dont, but i feel it would add a whole new level to our relationship. Also, she says she is very mature, and i kno she is, but the thing is, i dont want to hurt her doing this. is there a way to get the point across to her that doing this is perfectly natural, and at the same time getting her to believe me, and me doing it to her to show her that it can be enjoyable., do you catch my drit. I dont want sex, b/c marriage is the only time id do tht. I kno we dont have to do this, but is there a way to get her to believe me. the first time i did it, i kno she enjoyed it, is there a way i kan show her that is ok, so i kan do it again (mayb making her feel aroused in a sense, and if so, how do i go abt doing tht). Just any ideas so i can continue this practice, i feel that we are far enough into our relationship that we should be doing this. Also, we talked about the first insident after it happened, and she was telling me abt how she felt "dirty" and tht it just wasnt right. Hope this helps.Plus, i dont know if this would help, but the first day i tried this, i noticed that wht she was wearing was not the norm, like she wore it to make me feel...well you know. I noticed the stuff she was wearing underneath her pants wasnt boxers, but underware, b/c her pants were basically clear (long story on hwo i kno that, but i sware it is NOT cuz i am a perv) . it is lik she is sending me a mixed message, that she wants me stimulated, but she doesnt wanna be Thank you for yorur help so far. :)
