As the elderly population increases in the United States, so does the number of patients living in long-term health facilities. As the number of patients in long-term health care facilities increases, so does the number of reported abuse and negligence cases. Today, there are thousands of lawsuits being filed because elderly patients are experiencing abuse and neglect at alarming rates. What is malpractice?
