Plebeian

The ability to know so much and have so little,
is going to be the math to this rittle.
I have a shot to change the world,
As I tread this life everyday gets longer,
the moments unfurl.
I work for the chance to exceed higher then any man has gone,
but as I work I kill off another piece of my flawn.
The people in my life see the colors that I have,
all I see is black and white split in half.
My brain is not entacked its not on track,
but today there is no looking behind and no looking back.
I’m lost in a day with no hope,
I used to have a tight grip, then someone cut my rope.
You tell me why I hate today,
you tell me why I’m not okay,
I speak this truth just like my dad,
the basic words from a common American shad.
I might not be the golden fortune this world wants me to be,
you might just stick me in a cereal killer’s category.
But when I am all alone,
All by myself,
I wrap up my day and stick the last pieces of my life on God’s little shelf.
