Teena was a daughter of a rich landlord. She was last among the five children of her parents. She was neither fat nor thin, but an adequate figure for her age. She was beautiful but her complexion was a faded one.

Teena lived in a family which is neither filled with happiness nor with sadness. Teena’s parents never took care of their children education. Her father had many land and they he had money which will be enough for the next three generations. Her father, a landlord, had no time to spend with his children during the week. During, Sundays, when he stayed at home, he made his five children work. Having five children will help to improve both the income and work in the family. So, Teena’s father encouraged no studies, but he sent them to school. It might be a shame for not sending them to school.

Teena’s mother, who married her husband at an early age, doesn’t like to take care of her children. She loves reading magazines, chatting with her neighbors and rarely to watch the television. Nevertheless, she had many works in the kitchen. After her work, her husband and her children would leave for their work and school respectively. So it’s her ideal time to have peace and leisure.

Teena had a long age difference, so she was not included by her sisters and brothers. She naturally became a rude child. Her parents, who forced their children to work on land, even on their exam days, made the children irritable on studies. Her father owns farm, domestic animals, big yards, fields. Every body in their family had their own work to do. There was no compulsion to do work on time, but it has to be finished. It was Teena’s duty to clean the stable and feed the animals. She was also instructed to help her mother. So she never found time to learn. Hence, Teena didn’t enjoy learning but preferred working. This made her fail in the matriculation exam. Her parents made her write once again, but it was vain. They stopped her education.

Teena’s eldest sister was able to pass the matriculation exam, but she declined to learn further. She too had the same opinion like Teena. Soon, her marriage was arranged to a less wealthy family and she was married off. This never made any change to the family, but resulted in the increase of work to others. Her two elder brothers decided to help and follow their father’s path.

Meantime, Teena’s second sister had a different approach towards education. Even though she didn’t score much, she was able to pass the examinations. So her parents had a little consideration for her. She decided to join for further studies and she was the only more educated one in the family. Even though, she was also married to the same family along with her elder sister, she continued her studies.

Teena’s life was very hard for her. After her sister’s marriage, the whole duty came under her. She spends her life with no glory. She was depressed with no companions. There were many workers in the land and she found comfort being with them.

Soon she started to have marriage proposal. She was happy to leave her parents, and the hectic works, even though she was not allowed to express her views. Any way, her faith didn’t save her.

She was married off with many jewels than her sisters. It was because she in laws asked for it. So they welcomed her whole heartily. It was her husband who started to neglect her. He was a barrister and felt ashamed of his uneducated wife. He hated her, but hides it before his relatives. Teena was very sad. When every body came to know the truth, none enquired. The reason was that they have married and adjusting each other was the only way. However, he made Teena write her exams and get passed. He was a strict man and scolded Teena for her every action. He didn’t allow Teena to do things in her way and wish. She was also beaten by him. It was intolerable for Teena and this often lead to quarrel. They didn’t have a peaceful life.

Teena was depressed, until she had a baby boy. She found another world through him. But when he grown up, Teena became a clown before him due to her husband. She was beaten and scolded before him. It made Teena, rougher. She feared that her son might not love and would disrespect her. So, day by day, she became a rude mother. She beat her child, for petty things. It was only because of her anger to her husband. But how a child can be punished for that? The things became worse and worse and their family had no real life. It was a known truth, but they never showed their problems before others and Teena supported her husband always.

Soon another baby boy came to their family. It was at that time her first born child was relieved. She was very happy to have her new born baby. She cared him than her first one. It pained the first, but he never showed off.

The quarrel had no end in their family. She called her parents and would visit them on a regular basis. When her husband came to know that, he decided to change the house to another one, which is very far, but near to his work place. Teena was sad for that but she believed to have a better life. It didn’t happen once again. She was totally abused by her husband.

Years passed away, and her children grew up, fearing their parents than loving. The two boys had a close relationship. They eat, sleep together and didn’t bother their age difference like Teena’s brothers and sisters did. Teena called her parents regularly. Her husband came to know of this and warned her and made some digital arrangements on the phone.

One day, Teena called her mother, with tears. She told her that she cannot live any more with her husband because of his cruelty to her. She told that she needs divorce. Her mother counseled her, it was vain. Next day, to her parent’s surprise, Teena was hospitalized. When they contacted Teena’s husband, he told it was an accident in the bathroom. Later when her mother enquired her, she banned the matter, since she wants to hide something. It was only due to fear.

Their family was well settled with their own house, car and money. When time passed, Teena became stressed and she took the strong decision. It was to get divorced from her husband. She feared about her children. It was difficult for her to speak frankly and had no way but to remain quiet. There was no friendly talk in the family. Silence was daring there. The house was more than like a hell to every body.

Teena’s husband was a member of youth club. He was the chairman and had many companions. He always indulged in parties and didn’t take his family to join. He was a merciless husband of Teena. Once, when the elections in club were conducted, he was forced to have a journey of an overnight. He never stayed away from his family even if there are quarrels. It was inevitable and he decided to go with his group of five friends.

Meantime, their family well wisher warned them to avoid journeys at night. So Teena’s husband didn’t tell his journey to anybody, except his wife. Unusually, he was happy when he took his leave. He is likely to get promotion through this journey. Many allowances will be added in his account. So he set out his journey.

Teena was alone with her two little children. So her husband called her without any obstruction. The day which he was expected to return was cancelled because he has to come early at night due to a death in his office. Teena was informed about his arrival. She kept herself awaken for him. He called her to make her awake. The night journey was risky and dangerous, but it was inevitable for them. At the check post, there was no electricity and the driver was half asleep, suddenly there heard a large sound with a blast.

Later sounds, cries and bells of ambulance were heard. The car was collapsed by hitting a wood truck lorry. The driver has been careless. The four people were died on the spot. One was taken to the intensive care unit of the nearby hospital. The faces were unrecognizable. People surrounded tried to call the relatives of the died one through their cell phones.

At home, midnight, Teena was tired of wakening, when the time passed, she was irritated. Suddenly someone bangs her door. She was afraid. She called her first son and accompanied him to open the door. It was her neighbor. Teena suddenly told him that her husband is away from home and she contacted him, but the connection was busy. She asked him to try her husband in his phone. Teena didn’t allow her neighbor to speak. So, the neighbor took her child and told her that he will bring him after phoning her husband. When they left, she wondered why he has came at night. She realized that she didn’t wait for his talk. She was confused. Her mind filled with thoughts. Soon, when the child came, she enquired him. He hesitated to tell and told her a lie. By the morning, her neighbors came to her. She was trying to call her husband during that time.

When the neighbors saw her action, one of them called her and revealed the truth. It was a sudden shock for her. She fainted down all of a sudden. When her family came she cried. Later the conversation informed everyone that her husband was one among the people who died on the spot of the incident.
His face was flat and his hand was broken, which they joined at hospital. His eyes, nose and lips were damaged. It was very horrible to see the dead body and was very difficult to realize the person. Later Teena was taken to her husband’s house for the funeral, where his body will burn by his child. Teena hated to be with her in laws, from the first day of her marriage. It was their responsibility of ruining her life. She neither spoke nor cared to them.

Teena was supposed to stay there for thirty days. The children were allowed to go to school after sixteen days. The funeral activities were held during this time. The house immersed into sadness and none broke it.

The days passed, after thirty days Teena’s parents came to call her to stay with them, she refused. Se declared to go back to her home and to live there. She was accompanied by her mother. Her brothers were angered at this move, but she was strong to keep her words. After all ceremonies, Teena started to have her normal life. She send her children school and she started to go to her husband’s office.

Her husband’s relatives approached her saying about the credits her husbands had. It was the time, Teena gained her strong character. She, to avoid them, disobeyed. She didn’t contact her parents too. She considered her old friends and went for their advice. She was very careful of the money. She was very lucky that her husband, for some reasons, bought all his property on her name. She neglected others.

Teena became rougher to everybody and so all started to go rarely to her. She was very happy in her inner mind, to have a peaceful life. She became angrier to her husband and his relatives, who were cruel to her all these years. She didn’t give any money to them. After getting all her husband’s allowances, she made a good life. She concluded to live in her wish. She spent more time outside and took less care of her children. She, in life, didn’t have any opportunity to live according to hers. Hence, she controlled her family and her life.

The time passed and the second death anniversary was celebrated in a temple, according to their faith. Next day, her parents got a rumor that Teena was married to a man and she has sold many of her properties. It was just a rumor, and everybody believed it. Soon, the news was revealed to the world. She was married to a first married man, who had many financial problems. All were told that Teena terminated his problems and asked him to marry her. Their marriage was held in a temple, and the news was a shock and shame to her parents. But she didn’t care it. It was because she had lived her past in a hell and there was none to care her. All ran behind money, now she has money and her new husband encouraged and gave her all rights. He did consider her children as his own and loved them. The children were happy to have a peaceful life. They were free and began a peaceful and a happy life in their home.

The changes happened fast in Teena’s life. She was presented with happiness ad peaceful, even though she owes bad name in her family. But she neglects them and continues her life. She knew that none came for help, when the tragedy began in her life. She believes that the accident was a boon to her and a punishment to her husband for his cruelty. She recollects that his hand was broken because; he has beaten her with it. His lips and eyes were broken because of his ill behavior and neglect to her. They take care of the office and other properties, and live a good life.
