Time

Time

By Ryan Gosh

I sit in a dead and silent way, watching time turn to the past and try to understand when things will get good again. I stare deep into the sky witnessing moments echo through the chambers of time. So silent yet so violent... I wait for time to catch up and take hold, but it never does, its still one second behind.

I get up and walk to the window hoping time stumbles so I can trip and fall in the dark pits of yesterday. I don’t want to live for I was once alive in the past and unsure about tomorrow, now that its tomorrow can I still go back. Can’t I walk to the bottom and go back in time. Can I make the jump back to the day when life was ok, when life was real?

Tell me am I alive, am I still awake am I still here. Someone grab my hand I have seem to have lost my grip, I can’t wake up.

An endless dream, an endless walk through the theater of time. Doors to life along the way, day by day with no windows or openings for me.

Where is time? I’m calling you out, and now I realize that time is breathing down my neck until I die. They say God is close, but I say time is closer. So don’t cross paths with God or anger our Lord cause he can take the last of your time away.

Happy today and dead ten seconds ago. Can I lie down and throw in the towel.

If I lay still enough will time mistake me for the past and take me with yesterday? Will I live or get swept up.

This paper is me making history. I just wrote a paper that no longer exists. This paper was written, read, and now snatched up by the swift movements of Time.

Time never stops, never runs out. It’s the most reliable and most devastating invention God ever made. Don’t be scared just open your eyes…
