A bladder problem is not something that anyone wants to deal with and it can happen to adults or children. There are all kinds of problems that can result from your bladder not functioning properly.

Some of them are a lot more serious than others and it is not something you want to fool around with. You need to go to a doctor if you suspect that you have any bladder problems. I am going to tell you about two of the more common types of problems that can be caused by your bladder.

Bladder Control Problem.

This is when you accidentally wet yourself and you can't control it no matter what you do. You will end up having problems during sex, be unable to sleep, or even go out in public. One solution is to treat the symptoms and not the problem by wearing adult diapers or pads. You will probably end up with a rash, sores or bladder infections. You definitely want to find out what you can do about this problem before it gets worse and you could end up with an even more serious problem. Your doctor can prescribe an antibiotic to treat the problem and not just treat the symptom.

Urinary Tract Infection.

This is something that is more common in women then it is in men because the urethra is shorter in women so bacteria will have a shorter distance to travel. It affects millions of people each year and most women will have it at least once in their life. Men are not as likely to get it but when they do a urinary tract infections can be very serious. You will need to be treated by doctor to get this taken care of because it rarely will go away on its own and can lead to more serious problems with the urethra, bladder, and the kidneys.

If you notice pain or burning when trying to urinate, a sharp or knife-like pain in your back or groin, cloudy urine, bloody urine, or fever with a backache have your physician test you for a urinary tract infection.

In summary a bladder problem can happen to anyone no matter what the age. Bladder control issues can lead to a more serious bladder infection, which can lead to even more serious issues. If you notice any change in how your bladder functions then more research is indicated. If you suspect any type of bladder problem then a trip to your physician is necessary as soon as possible.

By: Painful | 19-09-2008
I started having frequent urination and severe abdominal pain after several epidural steroid injections. Spent 6 hours in the emergency room and urine and blood tests came back negative as well as a gallbladder ultrasound. I also have "urine accidents" occasionally. No bladder infection at all. I was given a prescription for pyridium but that can only be used for 2 days tops. Is this something that will help?

I’m waiting in a conference room that smells like the corner of career aspiration and stale office carpet. The overly heavy and overly bitter receptionist has a voice that is piercing through the makeshift conference room with walls that only go up about 7 feet. Like an annoying hiccup, she keeps repeating “Good morning, Hudson. Your name? Hold please.” Over and over again. She is an extra large version of what the rest of the world has automated already.

Choosing Between the Various Exercise Bicycles
By: David Cowley | 08/08/2008 | Fitness
First keep in mind that there are recumbent bikes and upright exercise bicycles; the recumbent mean that you lean back in the seat of the bike and these usually even have a back that you can rest against. Your legs are in front of you while you pedal. Upright exercise bicycles are taller and the pedals are below your body; you typically lean forward on the handles while you pedal, or sit upright.

Understanding Sports Nutrition Basics
By: David Cowley | 08/08/2008 | Fitness
One of the most important aspects of sports nutrition basics has to do with the amount of water and hydration you get when you're active. Most people are dehydrated no matter how active or inactive they are, because today we rely on sugary sodas and coffee for our beverages rather than water. Both sugar and caffeine are a mild diuretic causing the body to lose fluid, so we're actually doing damage rather than hydrating ourselves.
