A Highly Effective Diet Using Lemonade

Have you heard of the highly effective diet product that is made as a form of lemonade? While not exactly your Grandmother's version of lemonade, it is made with lemons. That is where the familiarity ends. The diet form of lemonade is made to provide all the essential nutrients that the body needs for a period of about ten days. Ten days is, for the most part, the period of time needed for this diet to clean the "gunk" out of your body and give it a restart from whence a significant loss of weight is highly probable. Sound like fun? You'd better have some excellent discipline if you want to explore this diet and have success.

One of the biggest and most common problems with diets is that of metabolism. If the metabolism is fired up, the calories are burned and the fat inside the tissues is reduced. If the metabolism is very slow and lethargic, the fat deposits will continue to build up and weight will be gained over and over again.

One of the biggest and most common problems with metabolism is that of "plaque." You see, when the intestines are coated with plaque and the body is inundated with toxins, the metabolism is automatically slowed down and weight loss, while possible, is very difficult to attain.

Thus, the lemonade diet. The diet is really a fasting diet that is designed to give the body a break from the continuous assault by junk food, inappropriate sugars and other toxins that enter the body in various ways. While preventing these common toxins from entering the body, the body itself actually expunges itself of these built up toxins and allows a rebirth of sorts in which many of the desires and tastes, accumulated through the years, are replaced with more natural cravings and the dieting person is able to easily form newer, more healthy nutritional habits. The lemonade diet is, as we've said, a fast, with the lemonade part being the only allowed intake of nutrition for a ten day period.

During this ten day period on the lemonade diet, the dieting person is taken from feelings of extreme starvation to symptoms such as headaches, nausea, stomach aches and extreme fatigue. The end result though is a person who has rid their body of toxins and feels like a million bucks, literally. They no longer crave the sweets or junk foods that caused their weight loss in the first place. Their natural cravings take over and they usually find themselves eating more wholesome and healthy foods like vegetables, fruits and low-fat dishes. Their energy level is accelerated to a point where exercise is more of a pleasure than a redundant and dreaded routine. Many people who complete the lemonade diet successfully say that they actually look forward to exercising.

The diet, while not debilitating in any way, is not loaded with low carbs, low fats or any other type of food. As a matter of fact there is no food involved at all, other than the lemonade concoction that you can make yourself or order online. You can expect to feel lousy before you feel like you've been reborn but, for most lemonade diet users, it is well worth the short ten days of suffering.

The average weight loss for the ten day fasting period is around a pound per day but the weight loss usually continues after the ten day fast as the metabolism is kicked up several notches and the added energy level continues to burn calories as the person becomes more active and changes their unhealthy diet for one that enhances the weight loss effect.

So, what are the ingredients of the lemonade diet? There are some slight variations that have evolved over the last several years but for the most part, the lemonade has remained the same mixture of lemons or limes, pure maple syrup, cayenne pepper and filtered water. It doesn't sound like much but the nutritive value found in these products is certainly enough to not only keep you alive but provide just enough nutrition that your body can actually revive itself.

The lemonade diet is not for everyone. As a matter-of-fact most people fail at it the first or second time they attempt it. It is a difficult task but well worth it in the end. The lemonade diet attempts usually prove more successful after the second or third time through. A failure to complete the fast during the first or second attempt is considered quite normal. Many people do have success during their third or fourth time through. It is not considered a failure, by afficianodos of the lemonade diet, if the novice lemonade dieter does not complete the fast. All who attempt the lemonade diet recognize the difficulty in going for ten days eating or drinking nothing but the lemonade concoction and water. It is tough.

If you feel like you are up to it or would like to start on a lemonade diet, you should simply run an online search for "lemonade diet," then make your lemonade and follow the instructions. The best advice is to go as far as you can in the fast and if you simply cannot complete the ten day fast, try it again in a couple of weeks. Once you are successful in completing the entire ten day fast and lemonade diet, you will be glad you did and your life will change for the better.
